This lot includes the first eight issues of Starslayer by creator and writer Mike Grell. Starslayer was conceived as the opposite of The Warlord, Grell's creation at DC Comics, that had a modern man end up in the prehistoric realm of Skartaris. Starslayer sees a 13th century Celtic warrior brought to the future to fight for the human race among the stars. The series began in 1982 at Pacific Comics and ran for six issues before Grell took the title to First Comics, where he published issues 7 and 8, completing the first story arc. The series also saw the beginning of The Rocketeer by Dave Stevens as a backup feature. Specific issues included are Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8. All issues are in used but great condition.
